Jon Hamm (Finally!) Lands His Own Apple Series With ‘Your Friends and Neighbors’

The straight-to-series TV show marks the Emmy-winning actor’s first starring role in an ongoing drama series since 'Mad Men.'

Jon Hamm is getting his own Apple show — finally!

The Emmy-winning Mad Men grad, who previously “begged” Apple for a show of his own in a tongue-in-cheek ad for the streamer, will star in and exec produce the straight-to-series Apple drama Your Friends and Neighbors. The role marks Hamm’s first starring role in an ongoing drama series since AMC’s Mad Men wrapped its seven-season run in 2015.

Your Friends and Neighbors, based on an original idea by Jonathan Tropper (See, Warrior, Banshee), revolves around Coop (Hamm), a recently divorced hedge fund manager who, after being fired, resorts to stealing from the wealthy residents in his tony upstate New York suburb in order to keep his family’s lifestyle afloat. The petty crimes begin to reinvigorate him until he breaks into the wrong house at the wrong time.

The best-selling author also counts films The Adam Project, This Is Where I Leave You and Kodachrome among his credits.

Your Friends reunites Hamm with Apple after he served as the male lead in the third season of The Morning Show. The project also arrives nearly two years after Hamm led an Apple commercial in which he seemingly begs Tom Hanks to help him land his own show on the platform. (Watch it, above.) Hamm’s other recent credits include the fifth season of FX’s Fargo, season two of Amazon’s Good Omens, the animated Fox comedy Grimsburg and the feature films Maggie Moore(s); Top Gun: Maverick; Confess, Fletch; and the upcoming Mean Girls musical.

He’s repped by CAA, Tavel at Forward Entertainment and Sloane Offer.

Your Friends joins an Apple scripted slate that also includes For All Mankind, Foundation, Platonic, Slow Horses, Severance, Surface and Loot.
