The Power-verse continues to roll along at Starz.
The premium cable outlet has ordered a third season of Power Book IV: Force, which stars Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan, continuing his role from the original Power. The renewal comes a month after the show’s second season concluded in November and follows the recent pickup for Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
“The fan response to this action-packed season of Force has been incredible,” said Kathryn Busby, president of programming at Starz. “They’ve made it clear that they need more Tommy, and we’re thrilled to deliver.”
Season two of Force followed Tommy as he looks to ascend to the top of Chicago’s drug trade while avoiding rivals and a federal task force. The cast for the second season also featured Isaac Keys, Lili Simmons, Shane Harper, Kris D. Lofton, Carmela Zumbado, Manuel Eduardo Ramirez, Miriam A. Hyman, Adrienne Walker, Anthony Fleming III and Lucien Cambric.
Gary Lennon served as showrunner for season two and will return for season three. He executive produces with Power creator Courtney A. Kemp, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Mark Canton, Terri Kopp and Chris Selak. Starz parent Lionsgate Television produces.
